Contradiction
The question has been raised as to how my and Alex's statements can be made at the same time and can still both be right..
Well, that's pretty simple.

If you want to continue to criticize loudly, go ahead, but you won't make much headway.
Now, I already described what I was talking about here. The fact of the matter is, you can get a rule changed if you come to one of the ops about it. And organize the argument for the change, in a respectable manner that high-school level, mature human beings are capable of.
To be honest, the way things have going lately, I'm not sure actually trying to bring it up in the chatroom is a good idea. It doesn't seem so useful for that lately.
I hope that just about clears it up. In short, to quote one of the ops: "If you're reasonable about them, we'll look into it. If you throw a temper tantrum, we'll ignore it"

I think that comes across pretty clear. But to be more specific, he's talking about ranting about it loudly and emotionally in the chatroom. It's drama-generating, and flame-generating, and it will get you nowhere.
